NEW YORK, NY (08/09/2011)(readMedia)-- The American Lung Association in New York will be offering its Freedom From Smoking ® (FFS) Facilitator curriculum at its New York City office September 22 and 23. The 1 ½ day training is open to those who are interested in acquiring the knowledge and tools they need to deliver the Association's eight-session group smoking cessation program. Graduates of the facilitator program will be qualified to run FFS clinics.
The training in New York City will be held on Thursday September 22 and Friday September 23 at the Lung Association's office in midtown Manhattan. Training begins at 8:30 am each day and runs until 4pm on Thursday and noon on Friday.
Since facilitator trainings are conducted in small group sessions, space is limited. Those interested in reserving a space can register online at www.alany.org. Registrations will be accepted until September 16 or until the course is filled.
