Lycoming College student Kevin Milliard of Jim Thorpe to direct a one-act play

WILLIAMSPORT, PA (12/09/2010)(readMedia)-- Kevin Milliard of Jim Thorpe, a student at Lycoming College, will direct a one-act play, "For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls." The play, written by Christopher Durang, is a parody of Tennessee Williams' "The Glass Menagerie."

Milliard, a junior, double majors in directing and theatre design/technology.

The play will show on Dec. 10 and 11 at Lycoming College's Dragon's Lair Theatre. It is one of three student-directed one-act plays that is a fulfillment of their Directing II class. The plays will begin at 8 p.m. both days.

Admission to the plays is free, but advance ticketing is recommended because of limited seating. Tickets will be on sale in the Theatre Department office beginning Dec. 6.
