Stratton joins Mayor Mark Olson, Empire State Development President CEO Kenneth Adams, NYS Parks and Recreation Commissioner Rose Harvey, NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities Commissioner Courtney Burke and NYS OPDD Self Advocate riders as they announce design plans for a handicapped accessible pedestrian bridge and other improvements to Fayetteville Landing Park.

BACKGROUND: The Central New York Regional Economic Development Council and members of "Team NY" announce that work is under way on the first stages of major improvements to the Fayetteville Canal Landing Park on the strength of an $150,000 award through Governor Andrew M. Cuomo's Regional Economic Development Council initiative. Additionally, design plans for the project, which has a total cost of $500,000 creating 16 construction jobs, will be unveiled by state and local officials at the ceremony held during the 2012 Cycle the Erie annual cross-state ride.
