BANGOR, MAINE (04/04/2023) (readMedia)-- The Maine Army National Guard will host a Guard Day for local ROTC and JROTC cadets on Wednesday, April 5th, at the Bangor Army Aviation Support Facility.
Maine Army National Guard units from around the state will have stations to showcase their assigned mission, training, and equipment. Assets that will be on display include medical ambulances, tactical communications systems, armored security and weapons of mass destruction response vehicles, aviation assets, and various weapons systems.
This is a collaborative event with the University of Maine's Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) to teach prospective officers and students about career opportunities within the Army National Guard. The event will begin with remarks to cadets by senior leadership, followed by group rotations for students to view all the available stations.
