MINI of Bedford to Lead Caravan to MINIs on Top at Mount Washington

Lyon-Waugh Auto Group Will Also Host Breakfast at Attitash Grand Summit Hotel

BEDFORD, N.H. (06/18/2012)(readMedia)-- The idea of organizing MINI owners to annually drive up New Hampshire's not-so-mini Mount Washington together started small, but during the past decade it has grown into the successful MINIs on Top gathering. As the Granite State's only MINI dealer, MINI of Bedford will be serving as a meeting point for a MINIs on Top caravan headed to the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel on Friday, June 22, the day before this year's event.

Starting at 1 p.m., MINIs on Top travelers are welcome to converge and converse at the New Hampshire dealership with their fellow MINI motorists, and MINI of Bedford will be providing goodie bags to anyone who is registered for their event. The MINIs on Top caravan will then take off at 2 p.m., heading straight up I-93 to the event's official hotel. MINI of Bedford's parent company, the Lyon-Waugh Auto Group, will also be offering attendees a complimentary breakfast the following morning from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. in the MOTORoom of the Bartlett, N.H. resort hotel.

"We hope that MINIs on Top registrants heading up 93 North will stop by our dealership and help us kick off one amazing weekend of MINI motoring," said Marshal Cabot, general manager of MINI of Bedford and MINI of Peabody, a Lyon-Waugh MINI dealership in Massachusetts. "Also, both of our MINI dealers are glad to provide a hearty breakfast to make sure a memorable day starts off on the right foot."

How: Those registered for MINIs on Top may register separately for this MINI of Bedford feeder event by emailing Kevin Minghella at kevinminghella[at]gmail.com. The registration deadline for the MINI of Bedford event is midnight on Tuesday, June 19.

Now in its 10th year, MINIs on Top is a volunteer-organized event for MINI owners that has raised nearly $75,000 for charities. Interest was so high for this year's event that organizers were forced to close registration early, and more than 500 MINI enthusiasts and roughly 275 MINI models are expected on June 23.

"It's been remarkable to see the MINIs on Top events grow over the years, and each one seems to draw in MINI owners from further and further way," added Cabot. "Mount Washington is one of New England's greatest attractions and MINI drivers are always looking for fun places to meet up, so I suppose its success is no big surprise. It's just another reason I'm proud to be a MINI dealer."
