MINI of Peabody Shows Its Hand for Seventh-Annual Poker Rally

PEABODY, MASS. (05/25/2012)(readMedia)-- On Sunday, June 3, Greater Boston MINI dealer MINI of Peabody will be celebrating spring with its seventh-annual Poker Rally, giving local MINI owners a chance to tour the North Shore and win prizes. With registration starting at 8 a.m. on the day of the event, rally participants will take off at 8:45 a.m. and return to the dealership at around 10 a.m. for a catered brunch.

Drivers in the MINI of Peabody Poker Rally will stop at four checkpoints around the North Shore, picking up a playing card at each location, with a fifth card being given out to participants at MINI of Peabody. The person with the best hand at the end of the event will win the grand prize, while the second- and third-place finishers will also take home a gift.

"We're always looking for ways to get our drivers together for some fun, and the Poker Rally has been a perennial favorite," said Marshal Cabot, general manager of MINI of Peabody. "There's no better way to enjoy a MINI than going on a cruise around the North Shore with other MINI enthusiasts."

While at MINI of Peabody, event attendees can check out the MINI Inspired by Goodwood, the new custom model featuring luxurious interior amenities straight from the minds at Rolls-Royce. Only 1,000 versions of the posh MINI are being produced and just 140 of those will reach the United States, making it a very rare MINI indeed.

Based on the MINI Cooper S, the MINI Inspired by Goodwood makes use of premium materials like cashmere, leather and Walnut Burr wood trim to create its upscale cabin. Meanwhile, a custom exterior clad with Diamond Black metallic paint and special 17-inch alloy wheels complements the sophisticated interior. Inspired by Goodwood badges, including one reading "1 of 1000" in the center console, ensure that there is no confusing this MINI as one of the regular mass-production models.
