Madison native to sing in Beloit College Holiday Choral Concert

BELOIT, WI (12/09/2011)(readMedia)-- Ellery Hamann of Madison is a chamber singer in Beloit College's Holiday Choral Concert called "A Winter Garden" on Sunday afternoon. Hamann is a senior and a graduate of Madison Memorial High School. She is the daughter of Richard and Lorilee.

This annual concert features performances by the Beloit College Chamber Singers and the Masterworks Chorus. Conducted by Assistant Music Professor Susan Rice, the concert embraces texts that employ floral and plant imagery. The Chamber Singers, comprised of 27 student voices, will sing settings of shorter works in English, Russian, Latvian and Polish. The Masterworks Chorus, comprised of 70 student, faculty, staff and community singers, will perform movements from John Rutter's "Magnifcat."
