Marcia Pappas, President of NOW NYS to be Featured Guest

ALBANY, NY (05/27/2008)(readMedia)-- Marcia Pappas, President of NOW New York State will be a featured guest on "The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet" Thursday, May 29th, 2008.

The topic that will be discussed is Divorce Reform in New York State. The show called Marcia, after seeing an article in the June 2008 edition of Elle Magazine that featured Marcia Pappas and the position of NOW New York State on No Fault Divorce.

NOW New York State fights back against punitive legislation every year in order to preserve the rights of women who are generally the non or lesser moneyed spouse in a marriage. This year, as in the past, the NYS Legislature is proposing legislation that will put women and their children at risk when divorce occurs.

NOW seeks to achieve a level playing field by demanding that laws provide the non-moneyed spouse with legal fees, along with penalities for the spouse who hides assets.
