Maya Adighibe of Katy Receives UPS Scholarship to Attend Southwestern University

GEORGETOWN, TX (08/31/2012)(readMedia)-- Maya Adighibe of Katy has been selected to receive a $2,400 UPS Scholarship.

Adighibe is a sophomore at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and is majoring in business.

The UPS Foundation provides scholarships for Texas students through the ICUT Foundation, which is operated by the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas, a statewide association for private colleges and universities. ICUT is an affiliate of a national organization known as the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).

ICUT members such as Southwestern University are given scholarships to award based on students' academic achievement and financial need.

Adighibe is the daughter of Cynthia Adighibe of Katy. She is a graduate of Mayde Creek High School.
