Medina Besic earns Oglethorpe University Female Athlete of the Week

Junior Medina Besic of the women's soccer team has been named the Oglethorpe Female Athlete of the Week.

Besic notched a hat trick in her team's 5-0 win over Talladega College last Wednesday. It moved her to eight goals and 18 points on the season- both marks which place her in the top five on the SAA leaderboard.

She and the rest of the Stormy Petrels will be back in action over the weekend. They'll host Birmingham-Southern College on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and Millsaps College on Sunday at 1 p.m.
