SPARTANBURG, SC (05/19/2010)(readMedia)-- Wofford College senior Megan Klipfel was awarded The John L. Salmon Award, the departmental award for Spanish, during Honors Convocation on May 11.
Klilpfel, a Spanish major, is a member of Sigma Delta Pi and Twin Towers service organization. Parents: Wesley and Rhonda Klipfel (Jackson, Tenn., 38305).
The academic major awards are made by the faculty to seniors recommended by the major departments on the basis of academic achievement, character and intellectual promise. Some of the awards are named in honor of persons who have made significant contributions to the intellectual life of the college.
