Melissa Lamson from Syracuse, N.Y., a senior at SUNY Geneseo, recently presented at the Council of Liberal Arts Colleges Undergraduate Research Conference.

GENESEO, NY (10/18/2010)(readMedia)-- Melissa Lamson from Syracuse, N.Y. (13084), was among seven SUNY Geneseo students participating in the Council of Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC) Undergraduate Research Conference Oct. 1-3 in North Adams, Mass.

Lamson, a chemistry major, presented on the formation and spectroscopic characterization of two different cholesterol-based gelators. Her faculty mentor is H. Cristina Geiger, a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry. The conference featured 72 presentations of research in the humanities, arts, social sciences and natural sciences.
