RIPON, WI (06/19/2012)(readMedia)-- Michael D. Poulos of Evanston will be honored with the Distinguished Alumni Citation at Ripon College during its annual alumni awards banquet Friday, June 22. Poulos is a 1977 alumnus of the college, which is located in East Central Wisconsin.
Poulos is a practicing attorney at his own law firm in Evanston, among many other things. As a lawyer, he received widespread media attention for successfully defending two young men, who were beaten by the police and then wrongfully prosecuted. He also serves as principal trumpet and assistant conductor for the Chicago Bar Association Symphony Orchestra, which he founded.
