Minnetonka Resident Selected As Student Speaker for Concordia University Commencement
ST. PAUL, MINN. (05/19/2009)(readMedia)-- Concordia University, St. Paul student Kelly Jansen of Minnetonka, Minn., gave the welcome address to her fellow graduates during the University's commencement ceremony May 16, 2009, at 2 p.m., in the Gangelhoff Center on the Concordia campus.
Jansen graduated from Concordia with a master of arts in Education in Classroom Instruction with Reading Endorsement. She taught in London, England and Minneapolis Public Schools prior to her current position at Edina Public Schools. Jansen has taught second grade at Cornelia Elementary for the past four years. Jansen grew up in Bloomington, Minn. She graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
