Miranda Loesch Recognized for Achievements at WWU

FULTON, MO (06/07/2012)(readMedia)-- Miranda Loesch of Lohman, Mo., was recognized for her academic dedication and campus involvement during the Academic Convocation and Co-Curricular Honors Banquet at William Woods University.

Loesch, who graduated in May, was recognized as Distinguished Scholar in legal studies. The faculty of various disciplines at William Woods have the opportunity each spring to designate one graduating senior as a Distinguished Scholar. A minimum grade point average of 3.4 is required, but the faculty may consider other relevant academic factors and variables in the selection process.

She was also one of 15 WWU students named to the 2012 edition of "Who's Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges" based on outstanding campus leadership.

A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the Who's Who students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.

By being listed in "Who's Who," Loesch joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.

Loesch earned honors as a member of WWU women's varsity basketball and varsity track and field. She was also a member of Phi Alpha Delta international law fraternity, Lambda Epsilon Chi national paralegal honor society, Alpha Chi national academic honor society, and Lambda Alpha Epsilon American criminal justice association.
