Molecular Biology Major Surpasses 100 Students

Much like the cells they study, Cedarville University's molecular biology students are multiplying. For the first time, the major has surpassed 100 enrolled students who will be prepared with the clinical and research skills necessary to serve in a field of increasing importance.

Kyra Becker from Cincinnati, Ohio, is one Cedarville alumna who worked as a clinical research intern at the University of Cincinnati last summer.

"I've always dreamed of working in a lab," Becker said. "I wanted to do research, and this internship delivered on that. I got lots of practice collecting data, analyzing it and applying it to understand its uses."

Becker was offered a full-time position and plans to work as a clinical research coordinator, researching methods for helping those with kidney failure, for the university after her graduation in May.
