Morrisonville Soldier promoted to captain

SPRINGFIELD, IL (12/31/2013)(readMedia)-- Alison Jacobs of Morrisonville, Ill., with the 108th Special Troops Battalion in Chicago was promoted to the rank of captain Dec. 31 at Camp Lincoln in Springfield, Ill.
Jacobs commissioned through the Illinois Army National Guard Officer Candidate School in 2009. She is the operations officer with the Illinois National Guard Counterdrug Program where she has worked the past 11 years.
Jacobs will deploy Jan. 4 with the 108th Sustainment Brigade as a logistics officer in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
