National Guard Commander to Take Part in North Carolina Logistics Task Force at Fort Bragg Monday

RALEIGH, NC (03/13/2011)(readMedia)-- The Adjutant General of North Carolina, Maj. Gen. Gregory A. Lusk, will take part in the Governor's Logistics Task Force meeting Monday morning, March 14, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the North Carolina Military Academy, 100 S. Lucas Drive on Fort Bragg. The North Carolina Military Academy is a North Carolina National Guard facility.

North Carolina Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton chairs the Task Force, which will focus on the military's role in the North Carolina economy. The mission of the Logistics Task Force is to ensure that North Carolina has the necessary foundation to remain competitive in the global economy. The members of the Task Force are focusing on reviewing the state's transportation system and identifying potential areas for improvement in the state's current policy approach. The Task Force is studying the critical relationship between commerce and infrastructure to ensure the seamless movement of people, goods, and information throughout the state and beyond.
