Nazareth College Department of Music welcomes Il Giardino d'Amore Baroque Chamber Orchestra on September 29

Acclaimed Baroque orchestra from Poland returns to Rochester with "Venetian Heroes, Pirates & Nymphs"

ROCHESTER, NY (09/06/2015)(readMedia)-- The Nazareth College Department of Music, in collaboration with the Skalny Center for Polish and Central European Studies at the University of Rochester, is pleased to welcome back Poland's acclaimed Il Giardino d'Amore Baroque Chamber Orchestra. The orchestra will present Venetian Heroes, Pirates & Nymphs in Nazareth College's Wilmot Recital Hall at 7: 30 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2015.

This event is free and open to the public.

Il Giardino d'Amore is made up of young musicians and vocalists from Poland, Italy, Spain, and France. Founded in 2011 by violinist Stefan Plewniak, the orchestra has performed on concert stages and at prestigious music festivals throughout Europe and North America, including the Bach Festival in Vienna and the Early Music Festival in New York City.

Their return appearance will feature arias, sinfonias, and concertos from Venice-the City of Sailors-and its native son, Antonio Vivaldi. The evening's program will include:
