Nazareth College Honors Richard Constantino with Woerner Kollmorgen Award

ROCHESTER, NY (04/24/2015)(readMedia)-- Nazareth College is pleased to announce that Dr. Richard Constantino is this year's recipient of the Woerner Kollmorgen Award for Community Service. The award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the community, thereby improving the quality of life in the greater Rochester area. This year's ceremony and breakfast will take place at Nazareth College in the Otto A. Shults Center Forum on Thursday, April 30 from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. Nazareth College is located at 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, N.Y. 14618.

Physician, humanitarian, and educator Richard Constantino received his M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1978. Since completing his residency, he has worked at Rochester General Hospital (RGH) as a physician in successively higher professional appointments, culminating in the role of president of RGH and senior vice president of Via Health. For many years, he has been deeply involved in his community, bringing his energy to endeavors ranging from community fundraising to youth athletics. In recognition of his professional accomplishments and community service, Constantino has received numerous awards, including the RGH Foundation Award, the Rochester Business Journal Healthcare Achievement Award, the Rochester Academy of Medicine Distinguished Service Award, and more.

Honorees of the Woerner Kollmorgen Award demonstrate a dedication to the values espoused by Nazareth College: a concern for and commitment to underserved individuals; ethical personal and professional behavior; leadership and living a life of meaning.
