New Q-Poll Shows More New Yorkers Concerned about Fracking

ALBANY, NY (10/27/2011)(readMedia)-- In response to the results of a new Quinnipiac University poll released today, Environmental Advocates of New York released the following statement:

"Today's Q-poll shows that slowly but surely, percentage point by percentage point, there are a growing number of New Yorkers concerned about the dangers of fracking and how it could degrade our drinking water and hurt our communities.

Governor Cuomo and the Department of Environmental Conservation must have a crystal ball, because today's Q-poll backs up New York State's decision to take steps to slow the rush to drill.

Environmental Advocates of New York is confident that the more New Yorkers learn about fracking, the less they want it in their communities."
