New York State AFL-CIO to Launch Third Season of "Working New York" on Regional News Network (RNN)

Series Premiere Set for October 15th at 7:30 pm- Show's Audience Has More Than Doubled Since First Airing in 2005: 133,000 Viewers Per Episode

ALBANY, NY (10/07/2008)(readMedia)-- The New York State AFL-CIO is pleased to announce the third season of "Working New York" will premiere on Wednesday, October 15th at 7:30 p.m. on Regional News Network.

Over the course of its first two seasons on the air, "Working New York" has gained significant media attention, and has enjoyed positive word of mouth amongst unions and working people. As such, the show's audience has more than doubled since it first aired in 2005, and now attracts 133,000 viewers per episode.

"Working New York" is a half-hour talk show hosted by New York State AFL-CIO President Denis Hughes and addresses a wide range of social, political and economic issues from the point of view of working people. The show attracts a diverse collection of high-profile guests from the worlds of politics, literature, entertainment, and of course labor.

Regional News Network is a broadcast network that currently reaches close to five million households in the tri-state area. In New York, RNN airs on cable and satellite systems from Long Island, through New York City and the Hudson Valley, and into Albany and the capital district area.

Addressing the increase in viewers, President Hughes stated, "Working New York continues to grow in audience and influence.
