New York State AFL-CIO's Endorsed Candidates Win Big on Primary Day

Candidates endorsed by the 2 ½ million member New York State AFL-CIO were big winners on Primary Day. Labor's candidates for United States Senate, Congress, State Senate and Assembly were victorious yesterday, with organized labor's massive get-out-the-vote grassroots efforts an integral part of each campaign.

New York State AFL-CIO President Denis Hughes stated, "The New York State AFL-CIO is proud of the determined efforts of its members and volunteers who spent the past several weeks and months working so hard on behalf of our friends. Yesterday's results are a clear indication of labor's strength, and ability to make a difference in political campaigns."

"The New York State AFL-CIO will continue to work on behalf of its endorsed candidates through Election Day. We look forward to helping them to victory, so that our friends can continue to advocate on behalf of the needs and concerns of working men and women", said Hughes.
