New York State Division of Veterans Affairs Announces New Hire
Counselor Will Serve Ogdensburg and Massena
ALBANY, NY (02/17/2010)(readMedia)-- The New York State Division of Veterans' Affairs today announced the appointment of Tom Robinson, as State Veterans Counselor in its Ogdensburg and Massena Offices.
Robinson, a 23 year veteran of the United States Army, served as a Military Policeman. Upon retirement from uniformed service he served in several roles, most recently as a civilian Police Officer on Fort Drum, NY. By joining the Division, Tom fills a vital position as State Veteran Counselor and will allow the Division to professionally continue serving North Country veterans and their families.
"Tom brings extensive experience and ability to the position of State Veteran Counselor. His knowledge of the local area, together with his military experience, and educational background, will greatly assist veterans and their families in the Ogdensburg and Massena areas." said Division of Veterans' Affairs Director James D. McDonough, Jr. "I am convinced that veterans and their families in these communities will receive top-notch professional benefit counseling with the appointment of Tom."
Tom Robinson will be available in Ogdensburg every Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The New York State Division of Veterans' Affairs office is located at 616 Rensselaer Avenue, Room 101, Ogdensburg, New York 13669.
