New York State Division of Veterans' Affairs establishes a Part Time Presence at the Niagara Falls CBOC

ALBANY, NY (11/23/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Division of Veterans' Affairs has established a part-time Veterans Benefits Counseling office at the VA's Niagara Falls Community Based Outpatient Center (CBOC), 2201 Pine Ave, Niagara Falls, NY. The office will be staffed with a State Veterans Counselor to provide benefits counseling and advocacy for veterans and their families on Wednesday and Thursday of each week beginning Wednesday, November 25th 2009.

This partnership demonstrates a shared commitment to helping veterans and their families by offering local access to the professional counseling services available through our agency," said James D. McDonough, Jr., Director of the New York State Division of Veterans' Affairs.

The new benefits counseling office, located in the Niagara Falls Community Based Outpatient Clinic, will allow accredited State Veteran Counselor Arthur Lawson to counsel veterans and their families on all aspects of federal and state veteran's benefits, programs and services.

With the opening of the office at the Niagara Falls CBOC, the Division now maintains 72 points of access for service to veterans and their families.
