GEORGETOWN, TX (11/01/2012)(readMedia)-- Nina Baccam of Katy was one of 25 students who presented talks at the 8th Annual Texas Undergraduate Mathematics Conference, which was held at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches Oct. 26-27.
Baccam presented a talk titled "Look at Them Grow: A Mathematical Model of Cancer cell and T cell Populations."
Baccam is a senior mathematics major at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Her talk was based on research she is doing for her capstone project under the direction of Therese Shelton, associate professor of mathematics.
Baccam is the daughter of Huynh and MyTrang Baccam. She is a graduate of Katy High School.
