MILWAUKEE, WI (10/31/2012)(readMedia)-- Marquette University alum Daniel Byrne of Oak Park, IL is one of nine alumni serving as a member of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC). Byrne is working at Catholics United Education Fund in Washington, D.C.
The nine Marquette alumni are among the 323 Jesuit Volunteers living in 38 cities in the United States and six other countries across the globe, dedicated to living simply and working for social justice in a spiritually supportive community. These volunteers work at schools, health clinics, legal clinics, parishes and nonprofit organizations to provide essential services to those who live on the margins of society. JVC offers volunteers an experience that will open their minds and hearts to live always conscious of the poor and committed to the Church's mission of promoting justice in the service of faith.
