Pa. Turnpike Cancels Overnight Traffic Paces Near Somerset This Weekend

Paces needed between Donegal and Somerset exits to erect new hiking trail bridge will be rescheduled for a later date

NEW STANTON, PA (08/26/2011)(readMedia)-- Due to the potential for inclement weather as a result of Hurricane Irene the Pennsylvania Turnpike is cancelling the 20-minute traffic paces in both directions between Donegal (Exit 91) and Somerset (Exit 110) which were scheduled for this weekend. The roadway must be kept fully open in case of a need to move evacuees or emergency equipment due to Hurricane Irene. Work will be rescheduled for a later date.
