HOUGHTON, MI (03/28/2013)(readMedia)-- Michigan Technological University's Rail Transportation Program (RTP), a part of the Michigan Tech Transportation Institute (MTTI), awarded eight scholarships this spring.
Among the recipients was Sean Pengelly, who recieved $1,000. Pengelly is a civil engineering major from Hartland who graduated from Hartland High School. He is the son of Cheryl and Patrick Pengelly.
All scholarship recipients were members of the Railroad Engineering and Activities Club (REAC), a multidisciplinary student organization for those with an interest in rail.
