SPRINGFIELD, IL (04/15/2013)(readMedia)-- Staff Sgt. Daniel Neville of Plainfield, with the Illinois National Guard Recruiting and Retention Command received the Director's 54 Ring April 11 at Camp Lincoln in Springfield.

Neville was awarded the ring for being one of the top National Guard recruiters from each of the 54 states and territories throughout the nation in 2012. While most recruiters average roughly 16 successful recruitments annually, Neville recruited 45 Soldiers into the Illinois Army National Guard that year alone.

Neville enlisted into the Illinois Army National Guard in 2003. Neville was mobilized in 2004 to 2005 in support of pre-deployment combat training at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk La.
