Price Chopper Issues Voluntary Recall
SCHENECTADY, NY (05/12/2008)(readMedia)-- As part of a precautionary multi-brand recall announced by Fairbank Farms of Ashville, NY, Price Chopper has issued a voluntary recall of pre-packaged 4pk and 8pk 80% lean ground chuck and 85% lean ground round patties and 4pk 90% lean ground sirloin patties with a bottom-of-the-package sell-by date of May 13. The recall is being conducted because the product may contain small pieces of hard plastic.
In addition to pulling the product off of its shelves, Price Chopper has initiated its Smart Reply phone program which notifies customers within a given household who may have purchased the item in question using their AdvantEdge card.
