Price Chopper Announces Fundraising Party on Eve of Grand Opening in Wilkes Barre Township

SCHENECTADY, NY (11/11/2008)(readMedia)-- Neil Golub, Price Chopper's President and CEO will be hosting a fundraising party on the eve of Price Chopper's grand opening of its newest store, located in the Township of Wilkes-Barre. He will be joined by Bill Feinstein, of Ventura Development, developer for the project, along with Mayor Kuren, and other town officials.

Wilkes-Barre Township Lions Club and Fire Department

WHEN: Saturday, November 15, 2008

4:30pm - 6:00pm

The public is asked to make a $5 per person donation at the door (children 12 and under are free).100% of all money raised will be given to the three local nonprofits. Food and beverages will be provided by Price Chopper. Musical entertainment by Jerusalem. Attendees can enter to win a $250 Price Chopper gift certificate. They must be present to win!

Price Chopper will match all donations up to $1,500.

The store's Grand Opening will be at 8:30am, Sunday, November 16th. A flag raising will be conducted by The American Legion, Post 815, immediately followed by a ceremonial ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of the new 64,000 sq. ft. Price Chopper Food & Pharmacy.
