Price Chopper Announces Fundraising Party on Eve of Grand Opening in the Township of Madison
SCHENECTADY, NY (05/07/2009)(readMedia)-- Neil Golub, Price Chopper's President and CEO will be hosting a fundraising party on the eve of Price Chopper's grand opening of its newest store, located in the Township of Madison. He will be joined by Ron Bono, Madison Town Supervisor, Barbara Clark, Madison Village Mayor, Bryan Gazda, Chairperson for the Madison Planning Board. Kurt Wendler, Sphere Development, developer for the project, along with other town officials.
WHAT: Fundraising Party to benefit the Madison Future Farmers of America (FFA); Community Memorial Hospital; and the Madison Wrestling Club
WHEN: Monday, May 11, 2009, 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
WHERE: Price Chopper Super Center, Madison Marketplace, 2422 Rte. 12B, Madison, NY
The public is asked to make a $5 per person donation at the door (children 12 and under are free).100% of all money raised will be given to the three local nonprofits. Food and beverages will be provided by Price Chopper. Musical entertainment by locals, Ed Vollmer & Reyna Stagnaro. Attendees can enter to win a $250 Price Chopper gift certificate. They must be present to win!
Price Chopper will match all donations up to $1,500. A check presentation will be held at 7:00pm to the nonprofits.
The store's Grand Opening will be at 8:15am, Tuesday, May 12th. A flag raising will be conducted by The American Legion, Post 1556 and the National Anthem played by the Madison Central School band. Immediately following will be a ceremonial ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of the new 37,000 sq. ft. Price Chopper Super Center.
