Price Chopper Supermarkets to Hold Gluten Free Food Festival

SCHENECTADY, NY (10/18/2007)(readMedia)-- In recognition of the growing number of Americans whose digestive systems are sensitive to or intolerant of products containing gluten, a protein fraction found in wheat, rye, barley, and certain other grains gluten, Price Chopper is holding a Gluten-Free Food Festival from 6:00-8:30PM on October 22 at the Century House in Latham, NY. The event has been promoted to celiac support groups and gastroenterologists as well as on in-store signage and through direct contact with customers who have reached out to Price Chopper through its Healthy U Connection hotline and Call Center with questions about celiac disease and gluten-free foods.
