"Lawmakers will hear from classroom teachers, AEA professionals, and others directly working in the schools impacted by their policy and budget decisions. Our hope is that legislators listen to what is happening outside of the Capitol and realize their budget cuts are harming Iowa's students," said Tammy Wawro, ISEA President. "They will hear specific examples, real-life stories, and absurd consequences of past budget cuts. It is long past time to stop playing politics and start focusing on student's needs," added Wawro.

Educators are signed up to testify at the hearing beginning at 7 p.m. at the Capitol tonight.
