DES MOINES, IA (08/17/2023) (readMedia)-- Skilled artists around Iowa competed in the Quilting division of the Fabric and Threads Competition judged before the start of the 2023 Iowa State Fair. Each piece is judged upon design, workmanship and finishing.
Debra Freese of West Des Moines was awarded Best of Show and Theresa McFarling of Boone won the Sweepstake award for the Quilting division.
Fabric and Threads exhibits will be on display every day of the Fair from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building sponsored by Principal.
