RRAC names USW women's basketball player, Anika Hostos, player of the week

HOBBS, NM (11/17/2010)(readMedia)-- Anika Hostos, a Lady Mustangs basketball player earned recognition as the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 8-14.
Hostos, a freshman guard from El Paso, Texas, averaged 21.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Lady Mustangs. She scored 18 points in a loss to Wayland Baptist University (Texas) before a double-double performance with 24 points and 10 boards to sink Northern New Mexico College, 61-42. Hostos made 16-of-31 shots from the field for the week including 10 three-pointers. USW is now 2-3 on the season.
