Ready to Serve

Zeldin Honors 9/11 Fallen, Focuses on Future

PATCHOGUE, NY (09/11/2008)(readMedia)-- It goes without saying that September 11 will forever remain a day of reflection for all Americans, one that will remain ingrained in the American psyche for generations to come.

On a personal note, my thoughts today are with my fellow servicemembers-our nation's heroes stationed on the front lines of our battle against terrorism. With a heavy heart, I will also reflect on the families and friends of those who lost their lives on that day that changed the course of American history.

It is for these people-our military personnel, our emergency responders, my fellow New Yorkers and all Americans-that I'm called to continue my service to this great nation. At the same time, I'm energized by the support these groups have all already shown me.

Washington needs strong leaders. We need men and women that will continue to take the fight to terrorists and protect the homeland. I'm ready to fill this much-needed role as the Congressman from New York's First C.D.

And remember, come November, along with Senator McCain, there will be two men on the ballot that have already fought for you, and remain primed and ready to use our background and training to storm the Hill...Capitol Hill.
