Reception will honor local educator

DES MOINES, IA (04/17/2015)(readMedia)-- Join friends and family at a reception honoring Marlin Jeffers. The Iowa State Education awarded Jeffers its most prestigious award, the Charles F. Martin Association Award for Leadership. Jeffers is an education consultant at Northwest Area Education Agency in Sioux City. The Charles F. Martin Award is the Iowa State Education Association's highest honor and is awarded annually to a member who has made a significant contribution to the teaching profession through association involvement.
