The Vernal Equinox marks the time at which the sun crosses directly over the Earth's equator and signals the start of Spring in the northern hemisphere. Although there is no shortage of rituals and traditions surrounding the coming of Spring, this year the Arboretum initiates one of its own with its inaugural Rite of Spring Brunch and Auction, from Noon - 3 PM on Sunday, March 22.
Tickets are only $25/person. A limited number of tables of 8 are only $175. The Arboretum's Rite of Spring is conveniently located at the Holiday Inn Express, just off I-88 Exit 23/Schoharie -- a short and beautiful drive from anywhere in the Capital District.
Merrymakers, Randy Passono At Your Service
Nestled in the heart of picturesque Oak Hill, NY, at the foot of the Catskill Mountains is the Oak Hill Kitchen, home to a special group of regional musicians in what was once an opera house at the turn of the 19th century. The Arboretum is pleased that the Oak Hill Merrymakers will help to welcome the planting season ahead.
Popular area auctioneer and Landis friend Randy Passonno, President of Collar City Auction & Realty Management, Inc. (De;anson) also will be on hand to drive the fun and present an abundance of auction items from regional businesses and crafters.
Abundance and More to Please!
