Roadway reconstruction to begin March 28 on Turnpike 43 in Washington County

NEW STANTON, PA (03/25/2011)(readMedia)-- The Pennsylvania Turnpike alerts motorist of intermittent single lane patterns on Turnpike 43 between Exit 30 (US 40) and Exit 34 (Elco), Exit 39 (Coyle Curtain Road) and Exit 44 (PA 136 New Eagle) beginning Mon., March 28 through Nov. 2011. In addition to traffic pattern restrictions there will be ramp detours in effect at Exit 30 (US 40) lasting from April 2011 through July 2011.

The restrictions are needed in order for crews to facilitate roadway reconstruction and resurfacing.

Motorists are urged to stay alert for slow moving traffic when approaching these areas on Turnpike 43 in Washington County. No significant delays are expected during this construction.
