Rochester Native promoted to Major
SPRINGFIELD, IL (09/04/2018) (readMedia)-- SPRINGFIELD, Illinois - Amanda Baylor, the Deputy Chief of the Military Justice Branch at the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) of Rochester, IL was promoted to Major at Camp Lincoln, Springfield, Illinois, on Aug. 10th. Colonel Joseph Schweickert, the Army Chief of staff, led the promotion ceremony.
Surrounded by family, her son Hunter removed her Captain rank during the promotion ceremony. Her husband Grant placed her new rank of Major on her uniform. Baylor is a member of the Active Guard Reserve (AGR) program and serves as an attorney in the Illinois National Guard's Staff Judge Advocate Office.
Baylor commissioned in the ING as an attorney in 2012, she has served with the SJA since 2012.
