Rochester Soldier assumes command of Recruiting, Retention Battalion

SPRINGFIELD, IL (11/15/2013)(readMedia)-- Lt. Col. Daniel A. Reichen of Rochester, Ill., assumed responsibility of the Recruiting and Retention Battalion (RRB) from Lt. Col. Mark Alessia of Sherman, Ill., during a change of command ceremony at the Illinois Military Academy on Camp Lincoln in Springfield, Ill., Nov.15.
Reichen enlisted into the Illinois Army National Guard as a combat engineer in 1988.
Prior to selection as the commander of the RRB, Reichen served as the battalion commander of the 405th Brigade Support Battalion in North Riverside.
