Ron Gamache of Flint directs spring drama production at Olivet

BOURBONNAIS, IL (03/26/2014)(readMedia)-- Ronald Gamache III of Flint directs the student production of "Middletown," presented by Olivet Nazarene University's Green Room theatre group. A senior majoring in corporate communications, he was the director of "Broadway Revue" for two years and is currently serving as the co-president of Green Room.

This is Gamache's 10th ONU production. Most recently, he has appeared on stage in "The Music Man," "God's Favorite," "Once Upon a Mattress" and "These Shining Lives."

Senior Hannah Williams of Beavercreek, Ohio, co-directs the cast of Olivet students. Jerry Cohagan, theatre professor, is the group's faculty sponsor.

"Middletown" is a deeply moving and funny play, exploring the universe of a small town in the United States. Playwright Will Eno captures the intersection of lives by exploring the friendship between longtime resident John Dodge and new arrival Mary Swanson. The strange and poignant journey takes them from the local library to outer space and points between.

Show times are at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 3; Friday, April 4; and Saturday, April 5, 2014. The production will be presented on stage in Kresge Auditorium in Larsen Fine Arts Center on Olivet's campus. Tickets are $5 ($2.50 for students with I.D.), available for purchase at the door.
