Rydal Resident Beth Ann Swan Honored at Thomas Jefferson University's Annual Awards Ceremony

PHILADELPHIA, PA (09/13/2011)(readMedia)-- Beth Ann Swan, PhD, CRNP, FAAN, resident of Rydal and Professor and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Thomas Jefferson University's School of Nursing (JSN), was recognized for her dedication to higher education at Jefferson's annual awards ceremony in June.

Dr. Swan received the Dean's Faculty Achievement Award, which recognizes outstanding faculty members for their performance in higher education. "Dr. Swan has been instrumental in planning and organizing the CCNE accreditation visit to JSN. Her skills in data gathering, identifying essential elements and creating a coherent system for presentation were fundamental to the success experienced during the recent visit," remarked presenter Mary G. Schaal, EdD, RN, JSN Professor and Founding Dean. "She has successfully integrated the roles of educator, clinician and researcher. She is a quintessential Academician."
