DELHI, NY (03/08/2016)(readMedia)-- SUNY Delhi will present a festive evening of fine wines and culinary delights to honor President Candace S. Vancko at the Kevin Zraly Scholarship Dinner Thursday, April 7 at 6 p.m. in the Farrell Student and Community Center.
"This dinner is an opportunity for the community to join Delhi students, faculty and staff in honoring President Vancko's 17 years of distinguished leadership to the college," said Dr. David Brower, Assistant Provost and Hospitality Management Department Chair. "President Vancko has made student scholarships a top priority during her tenure, so it is appropriate that we celebrate her leadership with an event that raises funds for students."
The annual dinner supports the Kevin Zraly Scholarship Endowment at the college and will be prepared by SUNY Delhi's award-winning hospitality students. It will feature four gourmet courses and wine pairings chosen by wine expert and Delhi alumnus Kevin Zraly.
Founded in 1999, the Kevin Zraly Scholarship Endowment has grown to become one of the largest sources of annual scholarships for hospitality management students at SUNY Delhi. It is named in honor of Kevin Zraly, a 1970 Delhi graduate who has gone on to become one of the world's leading wine authorities. He authored Windows on the World Complete Wine Course book, which has sold over three million copies.
Reservations for "The Kevin Zraly Scholarship Dinner" can be made by contacting SUNY Delhi Hospitality Management at (607) 746-4400. Tickets are $125 each and a portion of the cost is tax-deductible.
