DELHI, NY (01/26/2011)(readMedia)-- SUNY Delhi's Food for Thought committee will present "Being Green, Making Green," a panel discussion on local food entrepreneurship, Tuesday, February 15, at 7 p.m. in The Okun Theatre in the Farrell Student and Community Center.
The panel discussion will be led by Dr. Jack Tessier, SUNY Delhi associate professor of biology, and will focus on local food as a business. The panel will explore how and why people get involved in local food entrepreneurship, the challenges and rewards, why supporting local food is important, and what the community would like to see in the future.
Panel guests will include: Chris Harmon from the Center for Agricultural Development and Entrepreneurship (CADE); Holly and Richard Giles from Lucky Dog Farm; Jonah Shaw from Quarter Moon Café and Catering; and Faiga Brussel from Good Cheap Food.
