HOUGHTON, MI (06/04/2013)(readMedia)-- Michigan Tech senior Nathan Saliga (Leonard, Mich.) earned Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District honors for cross country/track and field recently. He will be placed on the national ballot for All-America honors.
Saliga finished third in the decathlon at the GLIAC Championships with a school record and a NCAA provisional qualifying score of 6,424 points. He was a five-time All-GLIAC performer and holds the school record in the 400-hurdles with a time of 54.27. Saliga earned Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-America honors as a junior and graduated this spring with a 3.88 grade point average in mechanical engineering.
