Sarah Metzgar Boggess Joining Behan Communications as Vice President

ALBANY, N.Y. (01/03/2011)(readMedia)-- Sarah Metzgar Boggess, whose Capital Region professional career has spanned journalism, marketing, government relations, non-profit management and resource development, will join Behan Communications, Inc., as a Vice President, effective Jan. 4.
Boggess has served as Vice President of Hudson Valley Community College in Troy and President of the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation since 2003. Before joining Hudson Valley in 1999, she served as a press officer for the New York State Senate and covered New York State government for the Times Union of Albany. She also worked as a journalist for The Daily Gazette of Schenectady and The Saratogian.
She joined Hudson Valley as Director of Communications and Marketing and was promoted to Vice President for Institutional Advancement.

Boggess will lead the Behan firm's Albany office.

Boggess holds a bachelor's degree in economics and government from Dartmouth College and a master's degree in business administration from Union Graduate College. She is president of the Dartmouth Club of Eastern New York.
She lives in East Greenbush, N.Y., with her husband, Steven, and two children.
