Sarah Mullings of Rantoul Wins Townsend Press Reading Contest

Parkland College student reads 10 assigned books to win $100 scholarship

CHAMPAIGN, IL (05/15/2012)(readMedia)-- Sarah Mullings of Rantoul, a student at Parkland College, has received a $100 scholarship for reading 10 assigned books as part of the Townsend Press Reading Contest.

Parkland's Center for Academic Success offers the reading contest in conjunction with Townsend Press. The West Berlin, New Jersey, publishing company seeks to promote reading by sponsoring scholarship contests, publishing a library of compelling $1 paperbacks, distributing reading motivation posters, and donating books to schools and community organizations.
